The light In the forest faded I walked deeper into the maze of trees it was confusing I was lost but determined to find my way out red leaves litter the forest floor softly crunching under my feet crunch crunch crunch after a while I noticed that my footsteps weren’t the only ones I could hear right behind me I could hear a soft crunch crunch crunch I turned around to see who it was did someone follow me in doubt it I snuck in alone so someone or something was following me but I couldn’t see it I was getting scared the sound continued but only when I stopped paying attention it seemed to get closer and closer I could almost feel its hot breath down my neck but every time I turned around nothing was there I stopped and sat down maybe if I just sit still this will stop I then began to feel woozy and next thing I knew I was asleep I awoke a few hours later to smoke I slowly sat up then I saw the source of the smoke a fire in the distance was spreading fast towards me I passed out after what seems like hours of running from the raging fire due to smoke inhalation,
I could feel the flames burning my flesh I curled into a ball and just succumbed to the flame letting the it take over I actually began to enjoy it it stopped hurting just began to tingle I opened my eyes and realized why it stopped I was soaking in a strangely colored liquid it was thick like oil but not so sticky was it some type of ointment I looked at the parts of me that stung expecting burn marks but nothing clearly this was no normal fire I looked around to see where I was it was a cave I was in some kind of natural hot spring,
